Stella Marie Kenny

Ms. Kenny, 62, of Old Bridge, formerly of Naugatuck, Conn., and Woodbridge, died March 12 at home. Her father, Edward died in 2004. Surviving are her mother, Noreen McLean Kenny of Old Bridge; five brothers, John of North Bellmore, N.Y., Joseph of South Carolina, Thomas of Middletown, Edward of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Gerard of Livingston; six sisters, Noreen Panek of Denville, Kathleen Dugan of Brooklyn, Susan Paul of Valley Cottage, N.Y., and Elizabeth Fenelius, Helen Kenny and Annette Maxwell, all of Old Bridge; and 30 nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Clare Eggers Sullivan

Mrs. Sullivan, 94, of South Amboy and Seaside Park, died Feb. 28 at home. She began her career in 1951 as a Spanish teacher at Sayreville High School and later taught elementary school at Selover School, Morgan section of Sayreville, before retiring in 1974. Her husband, Philip J. Sullivan, died in 1971. Surviving are three daughters, twins Clare Bouchard and Carol Lukie of South Amboy, and Eileen Canniff of Bradenton, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Georgian Court College Alumni Chapter, Lakewood, or to the South Amboy First Aid Squad.

Peter F. Dazzo

Mr. Dazzo, 77, of the Melrose section of Sayreville, died March 17 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A son, John V. Dazzo, died in 1995. Surviving are his wife, Angelina Sardo Dazzo; two daughters, Maria Golliver and Eddie Larzik, both of Melrose; a brother, Andrew Dazzo of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Carmela Aversa, also of Brooklyn; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Cremation was private.

Sally Ackrish Cohose

Mrs. Cohose, 84, of Englishtown, died March 16 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Her husband, Morris, died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Hal of Sayreville and Bruce of Marlboro; a daughter, Renee Cohose Stern of San Diego; a brother, Jack Ackrish of West Babylon, N.Y.; two sisters, Pat Lucas of El Paso, Texas, and Rose Ackrish of New York City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Knollwood Park Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. Arrangements were under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.

Tessie Ciccarelli Rafano

Mrs. Rafano, 88, of South River, died March 17 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement, she was co-owner, with her late husband Cosmo, of Cosmo Catering Services Inc., South River. Before that, she was employed as a seamstress with Brodsky and Sons, South River. She was a Democratic committeewoman in South River for more than 40 years. Her husband, Cosmo Rafano, died in 1998, and a son, Louis Rafano, died in 2004. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Rafano of South River; a brother, Vito Ciccarelli of Staten Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the South River Public Library, 55 Appleby Ave., South River, NJ 08882.

Sylvia B. Borsuk

Mrs. Borsuk, of the Highbreeze section of Vernon, formerly of Old Bridge, died March 21 in Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. Prior to her retirement in 2004, she was employed for 25 years as a reference librarian at the Sayreville Public Library. A son, Bruce Borsuk, died in 1991. Surviving are her husband, Robert Borsuk of the Stockholm section of Hardyston; a daughter, Betsy Wolf, also of Stockholm; and three grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, Vernon.

Jean H. Brazdo Wagner

Mrs. Wagner, 93, of Bay Head, died March 18 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Prior to her retirement, she was the proprietor of the Log Cabin Restaurant, Woodbridge. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, and by an infant son, Richard Horner. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Arnott of East Brunswick; five grandsons, Keith Arnott of Colts Neck, Gregory Arnott of Belleaire, Fla., Scott Arnott of Brielle, James Arnott of Block Island, R.I., and Brian Arnott of Old Bridge; eight great-grandchildren; and a niece. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

Joan P. Waraksa

Ms. Waraksa, 52, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died March 15 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a floral designer at Jacqueline’s Florist, South Amboy. Her father, Paul J. Waraksa, died in 1984. Surviving are her mother, Helen Waraksa of Parlin; a sister, Patricia Skenesky of Monroe; a niece, Kimberly Beth Lehrfeld of the Lawrenceville section of Lawrence; and a great-nephew. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.

Rocco Caroleo

Mr. Caroleo, 84, of Spotswood, died March 14 at home. His wife, Millie Belmonte Caroleo, died in 2000. Surviving are three daughters, Angela Colaianni of Colts Neck, Loretta Guglielmo of Morris Plains and Donna Killian of Old Bridge; a brother, Joseph Caroleo of Long Island, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

Rita Mirando Morgera

Mrs. Morgera, 62, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died March 18 in the Toms River section of Dover. A hairdresser for more than 40 years, she worked for the past two years at Unique Hair Studio, Sayreville, where she also was part owner. Surviving are a daughter, Lori Morgera, with whom she lived; a sister, Palma Reardon of the Forked River section of Lacey; three grandchildren; and her husband, Anthony of Old Bridge. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.

Basil Lubanski

Mr. Lubanski, 79, of Spotswood, formerly of South River, died March 17 in Old Bridge Manor. Surviving are his wife, Audrey Holborow Lubanski; four sons, Jeff of Stroudsburg, Pa., John of Spotswood, Jay of Lagrangeville, N.Y., and Joe of the Waretown section of Ocean; a daughter, Jane Kane of Palisades Park; a brother, Paul of Westfield, Mass.; three sisters, Olga of Russia, Gainia of South River and Mary Clarke of New Smira, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Florence S. Katz Davis

Mrs. Davis, 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died March 13 at home. Her husband, William J. Davis, died in 1990. Surviving are 10 children, Alice Davis of Haverford, Pa., Trudie Rebelo of Howell, Patrick Davis of Coral Gables, Fla., Gloria Davis and Mary Davis, both of South Amboy, Ruthie Gillen of Paola, Kansas, Eileen Ussery of York, S.C., Peggy Bilecky of Marlboro, Michael Davis of the Millington section of Passaic, and Timothy Davis of Cream Ridge; a sister, Rosella Fenton of Sacramento, Calif.; and 18 grandchildren. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
