The Master Gardeners of Monmouth County and its children’s committee will host their third annual “Bugs, Birds, and Beyond” children’s festival 1-4 p.m. Sept. 11, rain or shine, near the agriculture building at 4000 Kozloski Road, Freehold Township. The event will feature garden tours, games, crafts, vendors, a scavenger hunt, a giant soil tunnel, a composting site and live animals. “Metamorphosis of the Monarch Butterfly” will be performed in costume, and there will be a free raffle for adults and children.
