The Rhythm Kings Dixieland Band will perform, and a hot Southern meal will be served, beginning at 5 p.m. March 6 at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, 883 Route 34.
Audience members will be treated to chili (meat or vegetarian), cornbread and dessert while listening to the band’s playful arrangements and humor.
Saxophonist Jerry Rife, professor of music at Rider University, Lawrenceville section of Lawrence, heads up an ensemble that includes trumpet, saxophones, tuba, drums and banjo.
Advance tickets cost $9 for adults, $4 for children and senior citizens; add $1 for tickets purchased at the door.
