The Suburban Artist Guild of Central New Jersey (SAG) will hold its next monthly meeting 2 p.m. May 14 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center.
Award-winning artist Joseph Sundwall will demonstrate the special techniques he uses to create portraits using oil paints. In addition to commissioned portraits, Sundwall paints sporting and equine subjects, landscapes and still life. His work is found in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
SAG members are invited to draw or paint outdoors May 22 at the East Brunswick municipal pond, Jean Walling Civic Center. The “plein-air” session will begin at 10 a.m. at grove B. Participants, who may stay as long as they like, should bring art supplies, a chair and a snack or lunch.
