Mr. Palo, 80, of Manchester, formerly of South River, died April 7, 2011, in Leisure Park Health Care Center, Lakewood. He was predeceased by a brother, Bert. Surviving are his wife, Betty Crenner Palo; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Bonnie of Hillsborough; three daughters and sonsin law, Ann and Thomas Hanlon of Palmyra, Va., Susan and Don Wagstaff of Yuma, Ariz., and Linda and Jim Lackay of Jackson; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew. Cremation was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Oliverie Funeral Home, Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, 1160 Route 22 East, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A memorial service is planned for 7 p.m. July 21 atAmerican Legion Post No. 214, 264 Whitehead Ave., South River.
