Mrs. Rooney, 82, of Monroe, formerly of Spotswood, died April 29, 2013, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was employed as a crossing guard for the Monroe Township Board of Education. Surviving are her husband, Stanley Rooney; three sons, Philip Testa, and his wife, Linda, of Spotswood, Michael Testa, and his wife, Cathy, of Jackson and Tony Testa, and his wife, Joanne, of Bel Air, Md.; two daughters, JuliAnne Farella, and her husband, Ralph Farella Jr., of North Brunswick and Genise Snook, and her husband, Jim, of Milltown; a brother, Michael Ambrose of South Carolina; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
