The Monroe Township Soccer Club will be hosting its 24th annual Spring Kickoff Youth Soccer Tournament on April 20. The event already has 160 teams registered from around the Northeast, with the vast majority from New Jersey. The tournament has both boys and girls divisions, and teams ranging from U8 to U19.

The tournament will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 2013 Rutgers Spring Football Game/NFL and Rutgers Players Autograph Session/ Rutgers Day will take place on April 27. Admission is free for everyone, and the events will take place rain or shine at Rutgers Stadium and the surrounding campus in Piscataway. Autographs from the NFL and Rutgers players are free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a camera.

The NFL autograph session will begin at noon, followed by the players playing a flag football game 1-3 p.m. At 3 p.m., the Rutgers Spring Football Game will take place. After the game, all fans will receive free 2013 Rutgers football posters and can go down on the field (bring a football to toss around) to receive autographs from all Rutgers players and head coach Kyle Flood.

Rutgers University-Newark will be running its 11th annual Summer Baskeball Program for children ages 7-17. The program runs July 8-12, July 22-26 and July 29-Aug. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program has early drop-off and late pick-up times, and discount rates if you attend two or three weeks.
