Odessa Klezmer Band
will perform at library
The Old Bridge Public Library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will present the Odessa Klezmer Band in concert at 1 p.m. on March 20.
Klezmer is a form of instrumental folk music developed in the Eastern European Jewish community. While its style had its beginnings in the Middle Ages, Klezmer remained a popular entertainment at weddings and other events, and in the late 20th century there was a popular revival of the style.

OLV Knights will host
March 20 Irish Night
Our Lady of Victories Knights of Columbus Council No. 2061, Parlin section of Sayreville, will hold an Irish Night Dinner-Dance from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on March 20 at the Knights council home, Washington Road.
The event will feature an open bar, Irish stepdancers and bagpipers and live music by the Round the House Band.
Cost is $30 per person.

Jewelry to be topic at
Alisa Hadassah meeting
The Alisa Chapter of Hadassah will hold its next general meeting on March 15 at Concordia Jewish Center, Concordia Shopping Center, Monroe. An educational seminar with Sherry Keller will begin the event at 7 p.m. A business meeting will follow.
Ralph Joseph, known as "The Jewelry Judge of Princeton," will answer questions about gems, jewelry and appraising. Joseph has requested that all questions be submitted prior to the presentation in order to ensure accurate answers.

Bingo fund-raisers set
for three nights a week
Bingo fund-raisers will begin at 7:45 p.m. every Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday night at Immaculate Conception School auditorium, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
The facility is totally smoke-free, and the kitchen, under new management, is open from 6:30 p.m. until after intermission.
Games are played on lap boards and paper specials. There are two 50/50 special games at each event.
