Sounds of flute, guitar will fill O.B. Library

The Old Bridge Public Library will present Marjorie Koharski and Keith Calmes in “An Evening of Flute and Guitar” at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at the library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road. The event is part of the library’s free First Friday events.

Koharski is a flutist and piccoloist with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra and a former faculty member of the Monmouth Conservatory of Music. She is the founder and director of Festive Flutes, a semiprofessional flute choir that performs light classical and show tunes throughout New Jersey.

Calmes recently performed as a guest soloist with the Monmouth Symphony and has played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera and The Julliard Symphony, both New York City. He directs a guitar program at Wall High School.

Admission is free of charge. The community is invited.
