Celebration, tree planting April 21 at U.F. town hall
Upper Freehold Township will hold an Earth Day/Arbor Day celebration April 21 at 10 a.m. at the Upper Freehold Township municipal building, 314 Route 539, Cream Ridge. This year’s tree will be planted in memory of William “Bill” Metterhouse, a longtime member of the Upper Freehold Township Environmental Commission and Monmouth County Environmental Council. There will be an educational groundwater demonstration, student art display, and other environmental activities. Students from the Upper Freehold Regional School District and special guest Woodsy the Owl will participate in the events. The public is invited to attend. Rain dates are April 25 or April 28.
