HOWELL — A township resident has been charged with heroin possession.
Police said that at 5:34 p.m. May 19, Patrolman Eric Encarnacion conducted a motor vehicle stop on Newtons Corner Road, near Amy Court, on a vehicle being driven by Steven Jarosz, 46, of Howell.
Police said that as Jarosz exited his vehicle, Encarnacion saw him throw suspected wax folds of heroin on the ground.
Jarosz was taken into custody after a brief struggle with the officer. Jarosz was charged with possessing 45 folds of heroin and was issued several motor vehicle summonses. He was processed and released pending a court date.
