UPPER FREEHOLD – The township will no longer pay for tax map revisions when minor subdivisions are made.
Under a new ordinance, applicants receiving approval for minor subdivisions will be charged a fee for the tax map revisions.
The township had previously only required applicants receiving major subdivision approval to compensate the municipality for the revisions, but costs associated with the minor subdivisions were beginning to add up, Township Adminis-trator Barbara Bascom said when the ordinance was introduced.
Minor subdivision applicants will be required to pay a fee of $75 per lot for the revisions to the tax maps.
Major subdivision applicants are charged $75 per lot for the first 20 lots; $60 per lot for lot 21 through 50; $60 per lot for lot 51 through 100. There is no charge for lots after No. 100.
