MARY JANE WESTERVELT, 61, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet died Feb. 8 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Hazlet prior to moving to West Keansburg 25 years ago. She was a waitress at the Shamrock Diner, Middletown, for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She attended King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown. She was predeceased by her parents, James Westervelt and Jane Ripkey. She is survived by five sisters, Beverly Hunter of Middletown, Jacqueline Navarro Westervelt of Mead County, Darlene Lucas of Englewood, Fla., Susan Mirro of Millstone, and Laura Jean Hike of Riverview, Fla.; two brothers, William Westervelt of Palm Coast, Fla., and James Westervelt of Belleview, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
