JACKSON — A Community Development Block Grant will help to pay for improvements to roads, curb cuts, sidewalks and other infrastructure throughout Jackson.
“The township applied for and received a block grant in the amount of $175,000,” Mayor Mike Reina said. “I am very pleased with this grant, as this is an increased amount [beyond] prior years by $15,000.”
This year’s grant will provide funds to be used for various locations, including Homestead Drive, the Jackson Justice Complex, Putnam Park, and other roads, as well as to make curb cuts throughout Jackson. The curb cuts make sidewalks more accessible to people who have physical disabilities.
