Mr. Bollaro, 88, of Jackson, died Jan. 15, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born and raised in Newark and had lived and raised his family in South Orange before moving to Jackson in 2003. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Signal Corps (JASCO) in the Pacific Theater during World WarII.Mr.Bollaroretiredin1987asaadetective lieutenant for the South Orange Police Department after 30 years of service. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Joanne Bollaro. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary A. Bollaro; two sons, Thomas Bollaro and his wife, Diana, of Jackson, and Mark Bollaro of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
