Mr. Ritzman, 80, of Howell, died Sept. 2, 2012, at home. He was born in Glasgow, Iowa. Prior to retiring in 1986, Mr. Ritzman was an electrical engineer for the U.S. government at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, for 24 years. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Byrdie Ritzman; six daughters, Donna Pabon and her husband, Dave, of Manchester, Diana Caufield and her husband, Eugene, of Howell, Teresa Merklin and her husband, Steve, of Kenly, N.C., Elizabeth Stok and her husband, Henk, of Elberon, Rebecca Luciano and her husband, Roberto, of Neptune, and Allyson Prahl and her husband, Fredrick Jr., of Frisco, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Ritzman of Dallas, Texas, and Bob Ritzman of Yarmouth, Iowa. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
