Mr. Abruscati, 69, of Jackson, died Aug. 1, 2012, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was employed as a senior systems analyst for Continental Insurance, Cranbury, for 18 years, retiring in 2000. Prior to that, he worked for Twin Counties Grocers, Edison, as a systems analyst. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Abruscati; and his former wife, Josphine Abruscati. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Abruscati; a son, John Thomas Abruscati and his wife, Tami, of Arnoldsville, Ga.; a daughter, Barbra-Jo Swingle, and her husband, David, of Cinnaminson, a stepson, Shawn Gormann and his wife, Monica, of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Gormann, and her companion, Joshua Jackson, of Alaska; six grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Abruscati of Florida, and John Abruscati of River Head, N.Y.; and a sister, Rose Gorzycsky of Florida. A funeral service was held at the First Assembly of God Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
