Mr. Hanvey, 66, of Jackson, died Dec. 14, 2011, at home. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a project manager, corporate level III, NDE supervisor and radiation safety officer for nuclear and non-nuclear projects for U.S. Engineering Laboratories Inc., Rahway. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired at a chief petty officer. He was predeceased by a brother, James Leonard Hanvey. Mr. Hanvey is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alice M. Hanvey; two daughters, Lisa A. Hanvey of Jackson and Sheila M. Hanvey of Brick; his mother, Elizabeth Hanvey of Virginia; a brother, Bobby Lee Hanvey of Virginia; two sisters, Janice Marie Teeter of New York and Maggie E. Crites of Virginia; and two grandsons. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Veronica Roman Catholic Church, Howell. Interment was at Trinity Cemetery, Monroe. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
