JACKSON — The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced that a Jackson man is in custody after he allegedly sexually assaulted a girl over the course of several months.
Rick White, 19, of Jackson, faces charges of aggravated sexual assault indicating sexual penetration on a child under 13, sexual assault indicating sexual contact with a child under 13, and endangering the welfare of a child for engaging in sexual conduct with a child under 16.
Officials claim the alleged activity goes back to June.
“[The offenses are] alleged to have occurred in Jackson on more than one occasion,” Senior Assistant Prosecutor Laura Pierro said.
Authorities said they learned of the incidents when the girl, who is 13 years old, disclosed what was going on. Following an investigation, White was arrested Oct. 1 and placed in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River. Bail for White was set at $250,000 with no 10 percent option.
