James Volpe

James Volpe, 17, of Jackson, died May 13, 2011, in Lakehurst. He was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and moved to Jackson in 2005. He was a senior at Jackson Memorial High School and planned to attend Kean University in the fall. James was a member of the Jackson Memorial baseball team and played travel baseball for the Jackson Rampage and Hurricanes. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, James Volpe. Surviving are his parents, Anthony and Christine Volpe; a brother, Justin; twin sisters Jaclyn and Jessica; his paternal grandmother, Rosalie Volpe of Great Kills, Staten Island; his maternal grandparents, Edward and Joan Corallo of Freehold Township; an uncle, James Volpe and his wife, Robyn, of Old Bridge; two aunts, Barbara Alexander and her husband, David, of Freehold, and Celia Marrazzo and her husband, Larry, of Richmondtown, Staten Island; and five cousins. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by entombment in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.
