Arthur S. Madge

Mr. Madge, 83, of Howell, died Dec. 3, 2010, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a sergeant first class in the Korean War, where he served with the 45th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal, the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star and the United Nations Service Medal. He was the owner/operator of the Edgewood Dairy in Howell, which later merged with Welsh Farms. Mr. Madge retired in 1990 as the executive vice president of Welsh Farms. He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Debreceni; and a daughter, Ginger Lynn Madge. Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Spadola of Howell; a brother, H. Allen Madge of Freehold Township; a sister, Arlene M. Buscaglia of Freehold Township; his former wife, Gloria Madge; and three grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
