Auditions

National anthem tryouts for 2010 Lakewood BlueClaws baseball games will be held 6-9 p.m. March 24 at Monmouth Mall, Eatontown. All interested performers must fill out an application in advance of the auditions. Applications are only available in the BlueClaws executive offices and must be returned by March 19 at 5 p.m. All national anthem auditions will be performed a cappella. Instruments will be permitted, but only those that do not require electricity. Singers can apply individually or as a group. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis and performance times are subject to availability. All applicants will be notified by phone regarding a prospective audition, but applicants are not guaranteed an audition. Decisions will not be made on the day of the event, and all who audition will be notified at a later date with regard to a performance at FirstEnergy Park, Lakewood.

The Guild Theatreworks will hold auditions for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 11 a.m. March 13 at the Jersey Shore Arts Center, Main Street and Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. All parts are available. Singers and dancers (male and female) are needed. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Those having a conflict with the audition date should call 732-414- 1625.

StreetLife, Red Bank’s summer music and performing arts series, seeks talented adults and teenagers (16 years and older) to audition for this summer’s program. Tryouts will be held 6-8 p.m. March 31 at the Count Basie Theatre Rehearsal Studio, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank. Musicians and entertainers, such as mimes, clowns, magicians and jugglers, are needed. Each performer is asked to bring three to four minutes of prepared material highlighting his or her skills, a biography and references, if available. Details: 732-842-4244.
