The Howell Pop Warner Mitey Mites Gold football team had the honor of playing at MetLife Stadium.
The Mitey Mites played a scrimmage game against Point Pleasant during halftime of the Dec. 1 New York Jets game against the Miami Dolphins.
The players and coaches were very excited to play on the same field that is home to the Jets and New York Giants. They practiced very hard to prepare for the big event.
Three busloads of fans traveled to the event. One of the buses the Jets organization sent was for the players and coaches, and the others were filled with family and friends.
The Mitey Mites Gold team members who played in the scrimmage were Ryan Alexiou, Danny Bailey, Jason DeMichele, Colin Earnest, Stanley Federovitch, Sean Ennas, Dimitri Fields, Angelo Furmato, Jack Gartenstein, Riley Lewis, Aidan Marsala, Luke Quigley, Darien Reyes, Jayson Reyes, Michael Ruggiero, John Runfolo, Brandon Sagurton, lazzaro Sciancalepore, Ben Skrincosky, Connor Skrzenski, Wyatt Sternberg, Braden Walsh, Jonah Zoppel and Duben Echezona.
The Mitey Mites coaches are Pat DiMichele, Anthony Ennas, Jim Earnest, Anthony Ruggiero, Jim Bailey, Peter Quigley, Irv Gartenstein, Ryan Lewis, Dave Skrincosky, Johon Runfolo, Chris DeMichele, Johnny Furmato, Kevein Bailey and Marc Iacobino.
