Wilton Academy’s season under way

The Wilton Academy Level 4, 5, 6, and 7 gymnasts, of Howell, are back in action, having already competed in a pair of meets.

On Sept. 26, Wilton competed at the All-Star Classic at Starbound Gymnastics in Bridgeton. In Level 4 action, Shani Weis took second on the vault (9.373), first in the bars (9.05), second on the beam (9.0), first on the floor (8.85) and first in the all-around (36.275). Victoria Wilton was second in the AA (35.325), after taking seventh on the vault (9.15), third on the bars (8.7), first on the beam (9.075) and second on the floor (8.4).

In age 9-and-up competition, Samantha Gormley took second in the AA (35.2), and was first on the vault (9.5) and bars (9.1), and fourth on the beam (8.85). Elena Vasile took second on the vault (9.45) and floor (8.6).

In Level 5, age 10 action, Erin Miglin was second in the AA (34.625), and took first on the vault (9.2) and beam (8.825), and third on the floor (8.4). Stephanie Bell took second on the floor (8.5), while Nicole Murdocca was third on the bars (8.65).

In age 11-and-up action, Arianna Bellafiore finished fourth in the AA (34.55), after taking second on the beam (8.65) and fourth on the floor (8.6), while Haley Ostrander took first on the vault (9.2) and fifth in the floor (8.45).

In Level 6, ages 7-9, Casie Ann Smith took second on the vault (9.0).

In Level 7, age 11 action, Kaitlyn Reszkowski took eighth in the AA (34.8), after finishing third on the vault (9.2), eighth on the beam (8.95), ninth on the floor (8.05) and 12th on the bars (8.6).

In age 12 action, Holly Zimmerman took second on the bars (9.025).

The Level 4 team took first place, while the Level 5 team finished in fourth.

The team then competed in the Fall Flip Flop Classic on Oct. 2 and 3 at Schafer’s Gymnastics in Lawrenceville.

In Level 5, age 10 action, Stephanie Bell finished sixth in the AA (33.8) after taking third on the vault (9.1), fifth on the beam, (8.75) and ninth on the floor (8.65). Miglin took first on the vault (9.15) and finished eighth in the AA (33.5), while Murdocca took second on the bars (8.9), and beam (9.05), seventh on the floor (8.75) and ninth on the vault (8.45) en route to a third-place finish in the AA (35.13).

In age 11 action, Bellafiore took first in the AA (35.85) after finishing first on both the bars (9.15) and beam (8.95), and second on both the vault (8.85) and floor (8.9). Ostrander took second in the AA (34.15), after finishing first on the vault (9.05), second on the beam, (8.8), third on the bars (7.8) and eighth on the floor (8.5).

In Level 7, ages 11 action, Reszkowski took third on the bars (8.0) and second on the floor (9.05), while in age 12 action, Zimmerman took first in the AA (34.625), after finishing first on the vault (9.3), bars (7.75) and beam (9.075).

The Level 5 team finished in second place.
