A health care agency in the Jackson area is seeking volunteers to help decorate its recreation center for the upcoming holidays. Learn the art of knitting
at the Jackson library
The Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, will be offering an introduction to the basics of knitting. Expert knitter Kari Neun and her assistants will teach beginning basics to young adults and adults on Dec. 2 from 7-8:30 p.m. Registration is required and has already begun. Residents wishing to attend should bring with them a pair of knitting needles and a ball of yarn. This free program is open to residents age 13 and up. Presbyterian church to offer Christmas concert
The First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 West Main Street, will be offering a Christmas concert on Dec. 1 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. This concert will feature Metropolitan Opera tenor Eduardo Villa, accompanied on piano by the church’s music director, Hyosang Park. Jackson kindergarten
registration slated
Jackson parents are advised that forms which need to be completed before pupil registration will be available in all elementary schools during regular school hours, beginning Jan. 2. To be eligible for registration, children must be 5 years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2003, and in accordance with Public Law – Chapter 14, New Jersey (Immunization of Pupils in Schools), children must have all the required immunizations and record of physical examination.
Parents should make note that registration is taking place early in the year. Registration will be accepted in all elementary schools during the week of March 3.
