Ocean County College students now have an even more seamless transition to four-year institutions through new joint admissions programs with Montclair State University and Georgian Court College.
Through these new agreements, students enrolled in certain associate degree programs at OCC are accepted into similar upper-level baccalaureate degree programs upon completion of their two-year degree, according to a press release.
The Dual Degree Agreement between OCC and Georgian Court College caters specifically to students in business administration, accounting, computer science, elementary education, special education and social work.
The Transfer Articulation Agreement between OCC and Montclair State offers a smooth transfer between an associate degree in business administration to a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Both the Georgian Court and Montclair State agreements take effect for the first time this fall semester.
Dr. Jon H. Larson, OCC president, signed the separate agreements earlier this summer with Sister Rosemary Jeffries, president of Georgian Court College, and Susan A. Cole, president of Montclair State University.
OCC has several such agreements with other institutions: the New Jersey Coastal Communiversity, Rutgers Dual Degree Program, New Jersey Institute of Technol-ogy Joint Admissions Program and the Thomas Edison Baccalaureate Degree Pathways Program.
