Holmdel Kiwanis Club holds golf fundraiser

The Kiwanis Club of Holmdel will present the 18th annual Dominick J. Luccarelli Golf Outing at the Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune, on July 15, with a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. Proceeds will benefit various charities the club supports.

This year, the Holmdel Kiwanis Club will honor Paul J. Hooker, founder of Challenged Youth Sports, as the “Humanitarian of the Year.” Hooker and his wife Margo started the Challenger Little League program in Middletown in 1990 so that children with disabilities could participate in organized sports.

In 2004, they helped to open New Jersey’s first playground accessible to children with disabilities at Dorbrook Park in Colts Neck.

Golf outing tickets are $275 for an individual golfer and include greens fees, cart, lunch, cocktails, dinner and golf prizes. Sponsorship options are available starting at $100. Donations of products or services are being sought for the raffle. Tickets for the giant 50/50 will be available for $25.
