The Monmouth County Fair is under way. The dates and times are:
Thursday, July 28, 5-11 p.m.
Friday, July 29, 5-11 p.m.
Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday, July 31, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Rachel Cohen, the 2011 fair chair, said the fair schedule would include “fireworks, pie-eating contests, a horse stunt rider, entertainment, lumberjack shows and much more.”
Adding to the fun is that each day of the fair has a theme – Sports Night on Wednesday, Cirque Nights on Thursday and Friday, Children’s Day on Saturday, and Seniors’Day on Sunday. Guests may take advantage of the rides wristbands offered on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Ride-goers can purchase a wristband for $18 and enjoy unlimited rides for their session.
The Monmouth County Fair will be held at the East Freehold Showgrounds on Kozloski Road between Route 33 and Route 537 in Freehold Township. General admission is $7 per person. Children 12 and under are admitted free at all times.
The Monmouth County Fair is organized and presented by theMonmouth County Park System in cooperation with the Monmouth County 4-HAssociation.
