Food pantry extends thanks to Christmas supporters

On behalf of the needy in our community, I want to thank the many people who helped make this Christmas a joyous occasion for the poorest among us. Special thanks go to St. John’s United Methodist Church, Faith Reformed Church, both in Hazlet; Reformed Church of Keyport; Brownies Troop No. 1492, Keyport; and a group of college students from Thomas Jefferson Union, Pa., who provided many gifts for a family with six small children under 10 years of age.

Gifts were provided to 35 families and, although that seems like a small number, two years ago only five families were given gifts through the food pantry delivery system. Thank you all again!
