The Hazlet library will host various events during December, from a handbell concert to cake decorating.
Tower Hill Handbell Holiday Performance, 3 p.m., Dec. 8
The Calvin and Chapel Handbell Ringers from the Tower Hill First Presbyterian Church in Red Bank will perform a holiday concert of classical and popular music on a set of 66 tuned bronze English handbells.
Teen Cake Decorating, 6:30 p.m., Dec. 10
In this hands-on class taught by professional decorators from the N.J. Sugar Art Academy, teens will learn the proper way to frost and decorate a butter cream cake. They’ll even get to bring home the cake that they decorate. For teens in grades 6 and up. Register at the library.
Bottle Your Art, 4:15 p.m., Dec. 11 or Dec. 13
Create beautiful, one-of-a-kind sand designs in a bottle. All materials will be provided. For grades K and up. Please register for either session.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors, 4:15 p.m., Dec. 18
Attendees will practice reading aloud to Ziggy or Jiva, certified therapy dogs who really listen. Participants can bring a favorite book or borrow one at the library. For grades K and up. Register at library.
