The Lady Knights travel softball club, based in Middletown, is looking for competitive players for travel softball and tournaments. All teams are coached by former college players who have no daughters on the team.
The teams are: Lady Knights 16U (birth date from Jan. 1 1996, to Dec. 31, 1996); 14U (born in 1997 and 1998); 8U (born in 2003); and 10U (born in 2002).

The Matawan-Aberdeen Terriers are seeking a few 12-and-under travel baseball players for the fall 2011 and spring 2012 seasons to complete their roster. Also, the Terriers will complete their travel season by competing in a weeklong tournament at Cooperstown Dream Park, New York, (home of the Baseball Hall of Fame) in August 2012.
All players must be 12 years of age or younger as of April 30, 2012, to be eligible.

Kristen Politz, 12, was crowned the Junior A All-Around gymnastics champion at the 2011 Junior Olympic National Invitational Tournament (NIT) recently held in Long Beach, Calif. To earn the invitation to compete in this national event, Politz had to first qualify at the USA Gymnastics New Jersey Level 10 State Championships in March, where she scored an All-Around score of 36.575. She next had to place in the top 10 at the USA Gymnastics Region 7 Championships for Level 10 in April, where she tallied an All- Around score of 36.375. At the NIT in May, Kristenwon both the floor event with a 9.6 and All-Around with a 37.325. She also came in second on the balance beam with a 9.4 and third on the vault with a 9.425. Kristen trains 30-plus hours per week at Rebound Gymnastics in Cliffwood. She is currently training for the upcoming National Elite Qualifier at the Women’s National Team Training Center in Huntsville, Texas, and hopes to complete qualification as a Junior Elite gymnast and earn an invitation to the U.S. Challenge in Chicago.
DJ Sharks 14U and 16-18U Elite teams will be holding tryouts for the 2011-12 seasons. Seeking experienced, committed players willing to play baseball year-round.
