Reader responds to letter on health care reform

Ijust read Tom Mitchell’s letter to the editor ending in “God help us if the Obama health care system is implemented,” (Recent patient says current health care system is best, Nov. 4). Where is the rest of the letter? There must be something about the new law that Tom does not like, but he does not say what that is. Is the goal of quality, affordable care for all a problem for him? Perhaps he liked it when an insurance company cancelled coverage when someone got sick, or denied coverage to a child born with a preexisting condition. Would he cheer if his insurance company kicked him out of the hospital because he had used up his benefits?

God bless everyone who is trying to fix the system, even if his or her efforts are not perfect. See www.healthcare.gov for more information.
