Irving Scheps

Mr. Scheps, 83, of Marlboro, died Aug. 31, 2010, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Rutgers University. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was the controller and chief financial officer of Mansol Ceramic Corp. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Daniel Zelbo; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Scheps. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Lorraine Zelbo Scheps; a son and daughter in-law, Richard and Debbie of Essex, Vt.; a daughter and son-in-law, Marcy and Thomas Rosendale of Marlboro; a brother, Philip of West Orange; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Albert Goodman of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Marion Zelbo of Tinton Falls; and five grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
