RTC Training is offering a Cool Runners Fitness Camp for boys and girls in grades K-8. This clinic is in partnership with West Long Branch Sports Association and the Michael Thorne Scholarship Run, and will be held on consecutive Thursdays from April 11 to May 16 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Sorentino Park in West Long Branch.
This fitness camp leads up to the Michael Thorne Scholarship 4- and 1-mile races, scheduled for May 19 at Franklin Lake in West Long Branch. The cost for the camp is $95 and includes registration for the 1-mile race, RTC Training T-shirt, race T-shirt, race medal and much more. This camp is open to kids from all towns.
This clinic is designed to help prepare the kids for the 4-mile or 1-mile and provide a fun, positive environment, while developing fitness, self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Campers will participate in warmup and cool down sessions, drills, fitness games and races. This camp is offered by former All-Shore, All-State and All-East runner Robert Cavanaugh, director of RTC Training, who is a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) certified coach.
