The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, is in great need of food donations for the upcoming holidays. The FoodBank will serve an estimated 8,000 families in dire need of food this Thanksgiving and holiday season.
Donations of turkeys are needed, as well as canned vegetables, fruits, stuffing, yams and instant potatoes are needed. Donations may be dropped off at the FoodBank Monday Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The FoodBank will remain open until 7 p.m. Nov. 12- 16, and Nov. 19-21, and Nov. 17 and 18 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Nonperishable food may also be left at drop-off points in both counties, where donations are picked up regularly by FoodBank trucks. Nonperishable food may be dropped at Grainger on Industrial Way, Eatontown; Remsen Dodge, Hazlet; Quickie Print and Scott Motor Coach, Lakewood; Coldwell Banker, Route 34, Matawan; Diane Turton Realtors, Middletown; Quickie Print, Oakhurst section of Ocean Township; and Quickie Print, Shrewsbury.
Turkeys may be dropped at the FoodBank or Windmill in Freehold, Long Branch and Brick; ShopRite in Brick or Long Branch; Ice King and Cold Storage on Route 33, Tinton Falls; and St. Mary’s Church, Toms River.
