Mr. Jefferson, 80, of Morganville, died Jan. 24, 2008, at home. Born in East Orange, he resided in the PortMonmouth section ofMiddletown, and East Keansburg prior to relocating to Morganville 22 years ago. He was circulation manager at Greater Media Newspapers, East Brunswick, for 10 years, retiring in 1993. Prior to that, he was circulation manager at The Daily Register, Red Bank, for 25 years. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was predeceased by a brother; and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Bell Jefferson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and TimMakin of Morganville, and Debbie and David Sorber of Keyport; a sister, Edna Bryk of Port Monmouth; and two grandchildren. Interment was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown section of North Hanover. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
