ABERDEEN — Police are looking for a man who allegedly exposed himself to three children at Guisti Field, in the Cliffwood section of the township May 30.
The incident occurred sometime between 6:30 and 6:50 p.m., when the kids went to the park to play and saw the man sitting on the bottom of the slide, according to police reports.
The kids, two females ages 10 and 11 and one 7-year-old boy, were attempting to play a game called “princess and the playground” when the man allegedly asked if he could join them. He then began to hang from the monkey bars while his shorts were hanging down.
He went to pick up his shorts, and they fell all the way down to his ankles, according to the report.
The man was not wearing anything underneath his shorts, police said.
The group of children got scared and began to walk home from the park. One of them turned around and noticed the man following them, so they ran home.
At that time, one of their mothers alerted Patrolman Vito Turchiano Jr., who was patrolling the area at the time. She told him that her daughter and her two friends were flashed by a man in the park.
Turchiano immediately took a description and called headquarters for backup to search the area for the suspect.
Police are seeking a white male between the ages of 35 and 45, with a medium build, roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, navy blue shorts, a light blue baseball hat and white sneakers.
Turchiano led the initial investigation with assistance from patrolmen Darrell Oliver and Michael Lasko and Sgt. Raymond Sosa. Detective Christopher DeSarno is conducting the follow-up investigation.
