Holmdel Environmental Commission and the Citizens for Informed Land Use will sponsor the ninth annual Holmdel greenway walk and Earth Day Festival April 22 (rain or shine).
The walk sponsored by the Holmdel Environmental Commission will begin at 10 a.m. at Holmdel Park, and the festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. at Bayonet Farm, 41 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Walkers will travel along the Ramanessin Brook Nature Preserve and arrive at Bayonet Farm in time for activities.
The free festival will offer nature crafts, a presentation by Snakes-N-Scales, magic performed by Mr. R.E. Cycle, and other activities. There will also be music by local bands such as Terminal, The Dans, and Rubber Moulding. Various township groups will have displays at the festival. There will also be food items available for purchase, a bake sale, and herb garden sale. Approximately 1,000 daffodils planted by volunteers at the farm will also be in bloom.
