Rock’n Music Academy, 500 Route 35 south, Middletown, is accepting entries for its “Rock’n Music Idol” charity event with entry deadline Oct. 25. The competition is for musicians in the categories of guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, vocals, and vocals/instrument. It is open to students ages 7-17 and split into age brackets of 7- 11, 12-14 and 15-17. Winners will receive professional recording studio time, and will write and record an original song with professional songwriters.
