It will be held May 9 at Bayshore Community Hospital, 727 N. Beers St., Holmdel. A light supper will be at 6:30 p.m., and the lecture at 7 p.m. It will also be presented May 18 at Bayshore Fitness & Wellness Center at Hazlet, 1420 Route 36, Hazlet, with a light lunch at noon, and the lecture at 12:30 p.m.; and June 8 at the same times at Bayshore Fitness & Wellness Center at Old Bridge, Gateway Shopping Center, Route 9 and Ernston Road.
The series is part of the state’s “It’s-4-U-NJ” campaign to help residents of New Jersey recover from the effect of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The presentation will include a discussion of identifying traumatic events, responses to sudden loss, traumatic grief and bereavement, effective communication skills, and addressing psychological needs after sudden trauma.
