Fans of the children’s book “The Polar Express” and its 2004 movie adaptation are invited to get in pajamas and slippers and make their way to Barnes & Noble, 3981 Route 9 North, Freehold Township, on Dec. 5.
The Cadets of the Naval Junior ROTC Unit of Colts Neck High School will host a showcase of holiday entertainment centered on the theme of “The Polar Express.” The cadets will be dressed as characters from the film.
Special events taking place from 5:30-8 p.m. will include a visit with Santa Claus, a craft table, NJROTC caroling, a Letters for Santa station, free gift wrapping and a Conductor’s Holiday Treasure Hunt throughout the store.
There will be special visits from Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer .
A reading of “The Polar Express” will take place at 7 p.m.
