Becca’s Closet makes prom dresses available

Prom is one of the most memorable moments in a young girl’s life. The Freehold Township High School chapter of Becca’s Closet wants to make the prom even more special by providing more than 400 gowns to girls in need, according to a press release.

Becca’s Closet is a national nonprofit charitable group that provides prom attire to girls who otherwise could not afford to attend their prom.

More than 20 FTHS students are actively involved in maintaining Becca’s Closet by securing donated dresses, dry cleaning services and fundraising.

“Our main goal is to put a smile on a girl’s face when she walks out with her prom dress on,” said Amy Lewin-Epstein, a fashion design teacher and the adviser to Becca’s Closet at FTHS.

All garments are new or gently used and have been donated by stores and/or members of the community.

Interested individuals can send an email to [email protected] or [email protected]. They may also call Amy Lewin-Epstein at 732-431-8460, ext. 3105, to make a confidential appointment.

The FTHS Becca’s Closet is also available to anyone outside of the Freehold Regional High School District area with a school identification card. No financial evidence is required.
