There’s no place like home. That is why H&H Appliance Center features an extensive selection of brand-name and designer appliances for the kitchen, laundry room and outdoor patio.
H&H was founded by Gert and Harry Horowitz in 1947 as a propane gas company. Home appliances became the focus in 1970 under the leadership of their son Kenny. In 2011, the Mercer County company relocated from Robbinsville to Route 130, East Windsor, where the 8,500-squarefoot showroom is today.
“We are very proud of our heritage and our reputation in town,” said Kevin Johnson, sales and social media representative, noting that 80 percent of the staff members have more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
H&H has a reputation for offering what it describes as high-end ranges, refrigerators, freezers, cook tops, wall ovens, microwaves, wine captains, washers and dryers, water purification systems, grills and air conditioners, according to Johnson. Some of the more popular brands are Sub-Zero, Wolf and Miele.
There are more than 600 models from 50 companies on the showroom floor, including 50 refrigerators, 50 ranges and more than 70 built-in appliances. Some are “live” appliances, meaning they can be turned on and demonstrated, and Johnson hopes to hold cooking shows at some point in the near future.
“You can see the options,” Johnson said of needing a wide variety to determine the proper color, shape and style for a project. “We like to touch and feel.”
H&H representatives can also order appliances of all brand names and price ranges for any living space.
“You can get a $200 dishwasher or you can get a $15,000 refrigerator, or you can get everything in between,” Johnson said.
Johnson said H&H offers a personal touch to renovating, redecorating or redesigning an existing home or a new home.
H&H offers its own grill service, and is affiliated with partners who can handle installation and repairs.
H&H Appliance Center is at 909 Route 130 north, East Windsor. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The store is closed on Sundays.
