The Monmouth County Historical Association will host its annual Tea with Me event on June 14 from 4-6 p.m. at the Navesink Country Club in Middletown.
The event is a special opportunity for little girls and their mothers, grandmothers or aunts to share in the fun of an event planned just for them. Proceeds will support the historical association’s mission of education and preservation.
In addition to a chance auction for prizes like a doll house, stuffed animals and a mother-daughter fragrance and beauty basket, guests will be able to work on a craft project, to learn about the history of spinning and weaving in the 18th century, and they will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken.
Laurie Bratone, chair of this year’s tea, said, “We have arranged for craft projects, historical entertainment, light refreshments, music and some wonderful auction items geared to our youngest guests and their moms and grandmothers.”
