Monmouth Crossing, CentraState Healthcare System’s senior assisted living community in Freehold Township, has won the Assisted Living Best PracticeAward from the New JerseyDepartment of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) for the fourth time.
The state’s Best Practices program supports the sharing of model programs and services and recognizes assisted living providers who implement creative practices that contribute significantly to the quality of life of residents, according to a press release. The state’s 2010 topic was “Balancing Your Residents’ Safety with Their Independence and Individuality.”
“This special recognition from the state is important to our employees and residents because it acknowledges our collective commitment to resident safety and security,” said Heleyne Gladstein, the administrator of Monmouth Crossing. “We also continually provide staff educational programs to help employees prioritize every resident’s dignity and independence.”
Monmouth Crossing was selected for the Best Practice Award by a panel of senior service professionals including representatives from the DHSS, New Jersey Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, New Jersey Hospital Association, Health Care Association of New Jersey, Ombudsman for the Institutionalized Elderly and other professionals.
