Millennium Eye Care LLC has opened a new location in Monroe Township. The new office is at the corner of Applegarth Road and Cranbury-Half Acre Road. Millennium Eye Care now has six locations in central New Jersey, including the flagship office in Freehold and satellite offices in Marlboro, Hightstown, Jackson and Brick Township. Comprehensive eye care is provided by a staff of nine ophthalmologists and eight optometrists. Paul L. Sonenblum and Hina P. Zaidi joined the practice in July and provide contact lens services in addition to comprehensive eye exams.

CentraState Medical Center has been recognized as one of the nation’s “most wired” healthcare organizations, according to the results of the “Hospitals and Health Networks,” the journal of the American Hospital Association, annual survey. CentraState is one of only four healthcare systems in New Jersey and one of only 100 healthcare organizations in the country to be named “Most Wired.” The designation recognizes healthcare organizations that have successfully adopted information technology (IT) to improve patient safety and outcomes, streamline clinical practices, enhance workflow procedures and decrease the occurrence of medical errors.
Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center once again teamed up with the Blood Center of New Jersey to host the second annual blood drive on Sept. 21 at the Howell office. Members of Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center, police officers, patients and area residents all took time from their day to support the cause.
“Our office team is very involved in the community and is always looking for opportunities to give back,” said Dr. Hal Ornstein. “Working with the Blood Center of New Jersey, we are able to organize these events to collect blood for the many people who need it, and ultimately, it is a great feeling to know you are helping others.”
Awning Design, formerly on Route 9 south in Howell, has relocated to a larger facility in the Fairfield Office Park at 916 Route 33 and Five Points Road in Howell. The new 7,300-square-foot space will house the company’s product showroom, manufacturing and administrative offices. Established in 1988, the company has four retail locations in Monmouth and Mercer counties and offers a full range of awning and solar protection products and services. Partners Mark Pedersen and Alan “Gordy” Techner expect the relocation to provide greater manufacturing efficiencies and improved service for their customers.
