Dressbarn in Howell will join Dressbarn stores around the nation in observing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Beginning Oct. 1 and continuing through Dec. 15, while supplies last, Dressbarn stores, including the one at Howell Commons in Howell, will have the “smoochable pooch” Skye, a soft, plush stuffed animal, available for adoption for $5. The entire $2 net profit from each sale will go to the American Cancer Society to support local and national breast cancer initiatives.

The Provident Bank recently promoted Richard Lanza of Howell to assistant vice president and technical support supervisor at the bank’s headquarters in Jersey City. In his new position, Lanza oversees day-today operations in technical support and manages the bank’s information technology systems. Lanza has nine years of IT experience in the banking industry, and joined Provident in 2005. Before his recent promotion, Lanza served as ATM coordinator and network administrator.

• Arhaus Furniture, a furniture and home design store that offers furniture and décor that uses natural materials and is globally inspired.
• H&M, a global retailer with more than 2,000 stores in 37 countries, is slated to open a 20,000-square-foot store on the upper level of the fashion wing on Sept. 23. H&M will offer the latest fashions and modern basics for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, including separate departments for accessories and underwear. This location will also feature H&M’s children’s collection with garments for babies and children from newborn to 14 years of age.
In addition to Arhaus Furniture and H&M, new stores at Freehold Raceway Mall include Bare Escentuals, Pandora, a new store concept for Build-a-Bear and the additions of T-Mobile and Sprint.
