Powerful You! Women’s Network will hold the “Conscious Connections” regional networking event from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at The Renaissance, 1110 Valley Road, Ocean Township. The event will include networking, introductions, dinner, group discussion topic, speaker presentation, vendors, door prizes and gifts. Rita’s Italian Ice, the nation’s largest Italian Ice concept with more than 550 stores across 18 states, announced the winners of its system-wide 25th anniversary “Scratch and Win” game promotion. Launched in May to celebrate Rita’s silver anniversary, this promotion offered guests the chance to win $25,000 or a vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico, courtesy of Apple Vacations. The winner of the $25,000 was Lori Schwartz of Manalapan, and the winner of the vacation to Riviera Maya was Janine Merolla of Norristown, Pa. The 25th anniversary “Scratch and Win” game promotion began May 1 and ended May 31.

Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer P.A. has announced that Stuart A. Hoberman, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, and Edward T. Kole, of Manalapan, were recognized in the 2010 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America,” a guide to lawyers in the United States published by Woodward/ White Inc.

Hoberman is a director and shareholder with the firm. He serves as chair of the firm’s banking and financial services team, concentrating in all areas of banking, corporate and finance law. He is also an elected member of the board of directors of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce.

Kole is a shareholder at the firm and chair of the Business Litigation Department. He is engaged in the practice of complex corporate and commercial litigation. In addition, Kole is experienced in complex contract disputes, restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, securities and derivative actions, as well as litigation concerning business, shareholder/partnership and franchise disputes.

Earl Noyan, M.D., is the new medical director of bariatric surgery at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Schering-Plough Corporation has announced that Freehold resident Malcolm MacCoss, Ph.D., group vice president, Chemical Research, Schering-Plough Research Institute (SPRI), has been selected for the American Chemical Society’s Medicinal Chemistry Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field through research, mentoring and service. A formal induction ceremony took place Aug. 19, at the society’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

JustMATH, an individualized tutoring company for math only, serving New Jersey for more than seven years, has launched an online site for math students in pre-algebra through advanced calculus. The site, www.justmathhelp.com, is available from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. The online tutors never just give answers, but guide students by making sure the math concepts necessary to answer a question are understood. The site is also available on Facebook and Twitter.

Lee M. Reingold has joined the firm of Steven Sewald and Company CPAs and Consultants, Morganville, as a principal. Reingold will bring more than 22 years of experience as a senior operations and financial executive and will service the middle market and closely held entities in a variety of industries. Previously, Reingold held the position of chief financial officer and controller for technology start-ups and turnarounds.

Studio V Mind, Body and Soul will hold its first Spin-A-Thon next month to benefit the Ashley Lauren Foundation, a local charity that provides financial assistance and support services to families with children who have cancer.

Spinners will pedal continuously from 5 p.m. Sept. 25 to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at the fitness center, 265 Route 34, Colts Neck. A barbecue, along with an auction and awards ceremony, will immediately follow.

There is no limit to the number of team members, however, each member must raise a minimum of $200 in donations. Sponsors are also needed for the event.
