Millstone Kiddie Academy will host a free mini-summer camp program at 518 Route 33 west, Millstone Township. The program will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday from July 13 through Aug. 18. Children will be participating in camp activities and projects all summer. The Millstone Kiddie Academy will also hold a Music Notes presentation with Miss Kym on July 21. In this program children will learn about and explore different types of music and instruments. The Goddard School, 350 Pond Road, Freehold Township, was the host to a special bottle cap collection for a local boy with a kidney disease. The collection was held from June 1-19. The children and their families collected plastic bottle caps for a boy in the area who has a kidney disease and needs dialysis several times a week. The medical facility where he will be receiving the dialysis agreed to give him a free treatment for every 1,000 caps collected. The school collected more than 4,000 plastic caps, resulting in four free dialysis treatments. Freehold Home Depot, Freehold ShopRite, and the PNC Bank Arts Center contributed to the collection.

OceanFirst Bank will have a giant shredder and truck on site on Aug. 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Freehold Marketplace branch, 308 W. Main St., Freehold Township. Dr. Gerardo Goldberger, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, a senior member of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute (AOSMI), Freehold Township and Monroe Township, has been named one of the Team USA physicians for the World Maccabiah Games being held in Israel this month. Goldberger will also compete for Team USA as a triathlete.

Goldberger also had the opportunity to work as a field physician at the 1996 Olympic Games and at the 1994 soccer World Cup.

Goldberger plans to arrive in Tel Aviv July 12, the day before the opening ceremonies. As one of the official team physicians, Goldberger will travel throughout Israel to where athletes are competing in various sports.

On July 15, Goldberger will be in Tiberias where he will participate as a member of the U.S. triathlon team.

The triathlon includes a 1,500-meter swim (just short of a mile), a 40-kilometer (25-mile) bicycle ride and a 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) run.

This is the second time Goldberger has participated as an athlete in the World Maccabiah Games, having done it the first time at the age of 17 while competing as an athlete for Argentina.

The Freehold LeTip chapter, a networking group with more than 60 members, is seeking new members for available categories. Only one member per category is allowed.
