Two local attorneys have become partners in the law firm of Chamlin, Rosen, Uliano and Witherington (CRUW), West Long Branch. David P. Levine of Howell and John T. Bazzurro of Freehold have been named partners in the firm.
Levine, who joined CRUW in 1998, specializes in personal injury law,
representing injured parties. A graduate of Rutgers University School of Law, he served as a New Jersey deputy attorney general before joining CRUW. He defended the state and various agencies against personal injury claims.
Bazzurro, a Seton Hall School of Law graduate, has been with CRUW for five years. His practice is focused primarily on personal injury, employment and insurance litigation, and real estate transactions. He is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York.
CRUW also recently added three
associates to the firm, including Michelle M. Rosen of Freehold. Rosen specialize in matrimonial law and all facets of divorce litigation.
Dr. Richard Champagne, whose dental practice is in Marlboro, is offering professional-strength, take-home whitening services and is donating the proceeds directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The fundraising effort is now under way and will run until Feb. 14.
The cost of the service is $150, and both new and current patients are

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. “Public Speaking With Confidence” is a three-hour seminar that focuses on creating a structured presentation, illustra-ting anatomy roles during presentation delivery, practicing techniques for question-and-answer sessions, and evaluating and developing action plans for improvement.

Safe ID Card Systems Inc., Manalapan, a manufacturer of custom-designed identification cards and accountability tags, is expanding its products to aid emergency service personnel.
In business since 2004, the company is now offering cards with the latest technology, which includes digital photos and the new PDF-417 bar code. The bar code — the same as on the new driver’s license — stores pertinent information about the individual, such as medical history, allergies and emergency contact information. Emergency services called to the scene of an accident or illness could “read” the card with a special bar code reader to
obtain potentially lifesaving information.
Steve Ross, part owner of Safe ID Card Systems and a volunteer emergency service worker himself, stressed the importance of emergency service workers having a patient’s medical history, allergies and medications as soon as possible, especially if the patient cannot communicate to the first aid squad personnel.
Safe ID Card Systems plans to contact local towns, first aid squads and adult communities to arrange for free demonstrations. CentraState Healthcare System, Freehold Township, has announced that Robert D. O’Donnell has been elevated to chair of CentraState’s Board of Trustees. He had been vice chair and succeeds Anthony J. Caprio, who remains on the board.
Also elected to two-year terms as officers at the board’s annual meeting on Jan. 12 were Ruben Cardona, vice chair, and James Palmer Jr., secretary-treasurer.
O’Donnell is a banker who was elected to the CentraState board in 2001. Cardona is a partner at the accounting firm of WithumSmith&Brown. He rejoined the board in 2004 after serving from 1990 to 2000. Palmer is a lawyer in private practice in Lakewood who began serving on the CentraState board in 1998.
Jay Fields, a financial adviser at Smith Barney’s Morganville branch, has achieved the designation of senior investment management consultant/financial adviser.
